We are driving to the medieval times. The majority of the people will be the slaves and a small minority of ploutocrats (the Jews big bankers and wealth owners) will be the leaders.In my times we did not give up withour resistance and protest.

All mortals from now and on will live like one nation, united for a common prosperity. You should regard the ecumenical country with common laws, which must governed by the VIRTUES, irrespective of race.

I apportion them all with only one criterion, "VIRTUE". For me, any good foreigner is a Greek, and any bad Greek is worse than a barbarian.
If any difference appears amongst you, do not take refuge to weapons, but try to solve them peacefully. If need be, I will act as your negotiator.
You must not consider God as authoritarian ruler, but rather as a common father for all, so that your conduct together should be like brothers in a family.
From my part, I consider all equal white and brown people. Moreover, I wanted you not to be only law-abounded citizens to the state, but involving also as partners.
As much as my authority permits me, I will try to materialize what I have promised. The oath that we are given ceremonially here tonight should be held as a symbol of LOVE."

THE MARATHON APPEAL
THE MARATHON APPEAL
After the City of Hiroshima Declaration we, the peace loving citizens of the historic towns of Marathon and Nea Makri (where the former American base) in Attica, Greece, where the first “Marathon Race» started from (in 490 b. C) and where the famous Battle of Marathon took place between the Asiatic authoritarian and barbaric forces and the victorious Hellenic forces of freedom and democracy, unanimously signed this Appeal that deny to accept the logic of war.
We also refuse the war as a means of settling the global disputes. Neither military superiority nor any other expediency justify the nightmare of war, that is the most horrible insult against the human beings, our dignity and the ecological environment. No more mass slaughter of innocent victims!
The people of the Earth have experienced so far two World Wars and numerous regional wars with hundred millions losses, and inconceivable destructions, as a sacrifice to the barbarity. “It is time now to give an end to the wars and live in peace henceforth “, as Alexander the Great declared in his last speech in Opi, Mesopotamia, at 324 b. C.
Therefore, expressing the will of the citizens of Marathon and Nea Makri, as well as the majority of peaceful people Greece, we demand from the leaders of the great powers and the international community to:
1/ Stop immediately the plans for the war in Iran and lower the fruitless rhetoric of war. Instead we propose to strengthen the forces of détente, peace and cooperation that will lead to the globalization of prosperity and happiness.
2/ Stop the threats of the use of any form of violence and war, as threaten by Turkey against Greece and Cyprus (the “casus beli” against Greece and the military occupation of northern Cyprus). Instead, is better to take care of the real problems of the people, such as poverty, hunger, unemployment, social justice and protection of the environment.
We will fight to eliminate all nuclear weapons by 2020, as the Peace Declaration of the City of Hiroshima, August 6 , 2009 calls.
Finally, we call all those that share our aspects to sign this Appeal and disseminate it all over the world.

The people of the Earth have experienced so far two World Wars and numerous regional wars with hundred millions losses, and inconceivable destructions, as a sacrifice to the barbarity. “It is time now to give an end to the wars and live in peace henceforth “, as Alexander the Great declared in his last speech in Opi, Mesopotamia, at 324 b. C.
Therefore, expressing the will of the citizens of Marathon and Nea Makri, as well as the majority of peaceful people Greece, we demand from the leaders of the great powers and the international community to:
1/ Stop immediately the plans for the war in Iran and lower the fruitless rhetoric of war. Instead we propose to strengthen the forces of détente, peace and cooperation that will lead to the globalization of prosperity and happiness.
2/ Stop the threats of the use of any form of violence and war, as threaten by Turkey against Greece and Cyprus (the “casus beli” against Greece and the military occupation of northern Cyprus). Instead, is better to take care of the real problems of the people, such as poverty, hunger, unemployment, social justice and protection of the environment.
We will fight to eliminate all nuclear weapons by 2020, as the Peace Declaration of the City of Hiroshima, August 6 , 2009 calls.
Finally, we call all those that share our aspects to sign this Appeal and disseminate it all over the world.

Dear Distinguished Delegates, Ladies and Gentlemen,
I would like to express my deep appreciation to the ANUVRAT GLOBAL ORGANIZATION -and personally to Dr. Gandhi- for the honour of being invited to attend this very important and timely meeting on Peace and Non-violence.
"Everything great in the world is realized by the young generation," said the Greek intellectual Korais. The youth are the great idealists, the big visionaries and the pioneers for building a better world, a truer world, a world more ethical, more honest, and more just. In every society, the youth are indeed the most dynamic and creative element that brings the great changes, reformations and overthrows. History shows numerous examples of the contributions of youth toward changes and progress. They sacrificed during WW II, more than 50 million lives for high ideals and democratic values, which in the present times are brutally being violated by some unworthy and unwise leaders.
However, some of the above excellent young generation-, which does great and miraculous deeds- in the present times, is championing violent, inhuman and cruel acts. Without any cause, they show unlimited offensiveness against their society. Some of them have made violence a sport and vice versa. Quite abruptly, they can change a rock concert or an athletic event into a battle field, fighting body to body with police, looting stores, smashing cars, and setting fire to properties, resulting in numerous arrests by the police, human losses and great catastrophe. Furthermore, they commit worse crimes such as the kidnapping, blood robberies, gang battles, free trade of narcotics in the central squares of big cities, infant and child abuse, conflicts with their parents and teachers, and in the most extreme case, they enlist in organized terrorist groups. Everyday, we live the terror on the streets and in TV and movies, etc., and this violence is coming from the young
The present highly technological society has tremendous forces for mass destruction. Therefore, the existence of any kind of terrorism is unacceptable and a hideous crime. However, equally unacceptable is state terrorism, which is done in the name of anti-terrorism and is used as a means to impose a police state with undemocratic and oppressive laws. Thus the vicious circle of violence generates the governmental oppressive laws and these feed the police state.
How can it be interpreted, some of the same marvellous youth that win metals in the Olympic games and make unbelievable achievements in science and technology make our cities deadly terrain? Do we, the old generations, bear no responsibility?
The great philosopher Socrates said:» The young are not bad by nature." However, they are not a priori good. Their absolute characters make them as hard as a diamond and fanatic, either for the good or for the bad. So, they are ready to serve the good and often, the bad. Many of the present social institutions block their qualitative rise and the development of their life and personality. Our modern society opens two roads to them:
1. Those that enjoy over consumption and the abundance of material goods, but who make radical compromise of their ideological visions, becoming obedient to the present system.
2. Those that see their visions and ideals in ruins and at the same time they abstain from the abundance and over consumption
Those in the last category become enemies of the society and focus all their dynamic on destroying the social institutions- without exemption- because they block them from fulfilling their false ideological and material dreams to enjoy the abundance and over consumption. Several of the young follow the second way in order to express their dynamic and passion and become negative even toward the positive elements of our society. They indiscriminately strike and abuse everything that exists in front of them. They deny completely the present cultural and political system and try to destroy it with bombs and the bullets of a revolver. They do not have a perspective for making a better world, but only for destroying the existing.
The Responsibility of Mass Media
Mass media and entertainment are controlled in majority by the well known plutocratic
oligarchy that is responsible for the present corruption and decay. They share a great
responsibility for spreading the phenomenon of violence because they trade in terror for
profit. On the other hand the political system uses terror as a weapon to increase fear in
the public opinion in order to pass undemocratic measures. This stance of media is
extremely anxiety producing and disturbing. They cover the phenomenon of violence in a
negative manner. They bring to the air the most violent scenes in a devaluated
manner, affecting the public opinion and especially the young in a negative way and
pushing them to violence. However, the young generation is not as a whole anarchistic or
vile. Some miserable minorities cannot characterize the diligent and lawful majority as
anarchist and become a symbol for all of them. The movies pointed out early this problem
with films such as The Blackboard Jungle, and The Clockwork Orange, etc., and author
George Orwell predicted the forthcoming dreadful era of "Big Brother” in his classic novel
1984.
The mass media, instead of projecting crime and violence, should promote a constructive dialogue about the problems of youth. In order to close the gap between the new and old generations, they have to establish a positive dialogue and cooperation between them. The world can be changed only if the dynamic of the young is tamed and directed by the experience of the old. The philosopher Spangler said: "The civilization of a certain season is the result of education." At the present time, the culture of violence and hatred seems to have percolated the schools. Our society should give the youth good examples and models. Also, the State must give them responsibility and incorporate them into the process of taking decisions. In contrast, we see that the New World Order spends money and resources for wars and deprives them of food, education and health.
The deadlocks of our seasons are owed mainly to the domination of profit by all means, even with violence and terror. On the other hand, the system does everything to “divide and reign” over the people and the society. The situation has become more dangerous because the bridges have been exploded between the past, present and future. Thus, life is hovering in the vacuum of the unknown, and the young are living the video reality, far from the reality of life. If the young provide the wick, we provide the explosive to blow them up. There is a Greek proverb " The sins of parents torture children." Now the opposite is also valid, "The sins of children torture parents"
The Causes of Violence
1. The lack of philosophical orientation has removed people from the "moderate path.” Therefore, they live a materialistic life of excess that results in their strong appetite for quick wealth, personal projection, narcotics, sexism, etc.
2. The social inequality and injustice that comes from the recent “Globalization” and the domination of plutocratic oligarchy
3. The increased unemployment and the economic crisis
4.The mimicking of TV and movie scenes and their negative role in the lives of the young
5. The intense refusal of tradition, eternal values and the tested models of the past.
6. The social freedom of the middle and lower classes, which has reached the other side of the pendulum, since they claim unlimited freedom and rights without any restraints and obligations. [Frequently, this freedom results in immunity, anarchy and the overthrow of democracy]
7. Their unlimited zeal for politics or their complete refrain from it.
8. The general crisis and collapse of all ideologies and cosmopolitan religions
9. Science without virtue, which causes the horrors behind closed doors that create the horror of weapons of mass destruction, ecological catastrophe, etc.
10. Finally, and above all, the collapse of the oldest institution, the family
Of course, our society has many evils. It is monolithic, oppressive and chaotic, exploitable, profitable, without feelings or a human face. Within this environment, some of the young think that the most favourable way to upgrade themselves and their society is through terror and violence, the revolver and the torch. Most of the time, these young end up in prison or dead.
At the present time, the old and tested values have collapsed, while the new untested values and models change as quickly as the meteorites in the sky. Thus, the young do not have a compass to enable them to find the correct path, so they are drifting like a straw in an open, rough sea. It is evident that the TV within all homes is a bad teacher of the young. It directs them to nihilism because family and school are no longer able to point them in the right direction, as happened in the past. Here we have to point out the great responsibility of the State and the local society to create the necessary institutions for the protection of the young, without depriving the people of the freedom of expression. The young want positive visions and ideals. The violent, racist, fanatic and imperialist messages are negative and soul-destroying. The dirty wars bring also the complete lack of visions and ideals. Today the world suffers from the lack of culture. Our technological civilization is crippled because it has not developed symmetrically with the psycho-spiritual dimension of persons. That’s why the leading power of the world, the USA, is the most barbaric country and the present democracies are sliding toward police states.
Why are the young opposed to our society?
The younger generations have serious reasons to be disgusted with the world we have created for them. Of course, we have made marvellous technological progress and rapid scientific and technological changes that we enjoy and suffer from them. So, I will not refer to the positive view of the world, but to the negative one that are fundamental for the normal evolution and survival of our world in the present century. Violence is the main characteristic of our times and it is closely related with justice. Peace without justice is unthinkable. Violence has been spread even amongst the cosmopolitan religions that are supposed to teach, “Love others as yourself “. Now they are fighting one another in religious wars, to fulfil the Samuel Huntington prophecy of “cultural wars”.
It is evident that our world is unjust, operating on a double standard, hypocritical, immoral, crazy, and plotting and promoting lies through fictitious reality. They speak for peace and make wars; they speak for disarmament and make more armament; they speak for protection of the environment and destroy it; they speak for human rights and violate them; they speak for justice and become more unjust; and they speak for closing the gap between North and South, rich and poor, the have’s and the have-not’s and do exactly the opposite. Our politicians-with some exemptions- are not the best example. They are unwise, plotting, lying, thieving, greedy, corrupt, and arrogant and “servants” to the international authority. Lately, they have been using an unprecedented rhetoric against terrorism while at the same time; they are exercising state terrorism and injustice that nourishes individual and group terrorism. They promise to fight starvation, narcotics, AIDS and other global sufferings, but the results are disappointing. They have condemned the Third World to starvation. They make blood wars in the name of “democracy” and “human rights” but lately are sliding toward plutocratic oligarchy, fascism, and the empire of “Big Brother.” It is evident that we are living in a nightmarish and schizophrenic world, without feelings and humanism, where words are empty of meaning and they do not become practice. Thus, the ancient Greek proverb “measure the man” in the present times has been substituted by “measure the profit.” Profit is the God of today!!
However, this is more than a war against terrorism. This is a war against the citizens of all countries. The current elite is creating so many fear that people don't know how to respond. But they must remember that this is a move to implement a world dictatorship all over the world
Democratic dialogue has been substituted by dogmatic “one-way” thinking, the ultimatum of war, embargo and the diplomacy of gunboats. They have even destabilized the capitalistic system by controlling trade, industry, the economy, agricultural production, etc. Furthermore, they want to have the right to decide for us without us, to control our mind, our soul, our spirit, our sentiments and even our security, by keeping us under their nuclear terror and intervention. The American administration, having lost the cultural roots of the Americans, has no sense of the depth of foreign cultures. Instead, they want to create a non-cultural, materialistic world. We have to remind the world that the death of a child, any child, in Palestine, Israel, Afghanistan, and Chechnya, in New York or in Iraq, is the death of the whole world.
What should be done for the young?
1. Provide more preventive measures against violence than police measures and anti-violence.
2. Start a democratic dialogue with them about their problems {using libraries, athletics, the qualitative upgrade of cities, better use of their free time, etc.).
3. Encourage their broad participation in central and local government and in the mechanisms of taking decisions.
4. Provide a new way of thinking in schools and on TV, and stop eulogizing violence.
5. Face the great problem of narcotics by striking the producers and big dealers.
6. Give more job opportunities for the employment of youth.
7. Improve their education by giving opportunities for life studies.
Conclusion
While we advise the young to abstain from violence, should they stay inactive in order to be “politically correct” with the system? What should they do? Must they compromise with injustice, corruption, slavery, dogmatism, standardization of the mind, police states, oppression, etc. in order to enjoy abundance and over-consumption? Absolutely not! They have to struggle for progress, changes and democracy by all means, save violence.
Within this dreadful world, the philosophical message of Mahatma Gandhi for Non-violent Resistance is pro non-qvo. This is the best way to build a better society based on freedom, justice, and peace, with sustainable development and ecological balance. In this way, they will enter the era of The New Civilization of Knowledge and Humanity. The same message gave the ancient Greek philosophers “Struggle for Freedom, Justice through the democratic dialogue”

Today the world suffers from the lack of culture. Our technological civilization is crippled because it has not developed symmetrically with the psycho-spiritual dimension of persons. That’s why the leading power of the world, the USA, is the most barbaric country and the present democracies are sliding toward police states.
Why are the young opposed to our society?
The younger generations have serious reasons to be disgusted with the world we have created for them. Of course, we have made marvellous technological progress and rapid scientific and technological changes that we enjoy and suffer from them. So, I will not refer to the positive view of the world, but to the negative one that are fundamental for the normal evolution and survival of our world in the present century. Violence is the main characteristic of our times and it is closely related with justice. Peace without justice is unthinkable. Violence has been spread even amongst the cosmopolitan religions that are supposed to teach, “Love others as yourself “. Now they are fighting one another in religious wars, to fulfil the Samuel Huntington prophecy of “cultural wars”.
It is evident that our world is unjust, operating on a double standard, hypocritical, immoral, crazy, and plotting and promoting lies through fictitious reality. They speak for peace and make wars; they speak for disarmament and make more armament; they speak for protection of the environment and destroy it; they speak for human rights and violate them; they speak for justice and become more unjust; and they speak for closing the gap between North and South, rich and poor, the have’s and the have-not’s and do exactly the opposite. Our politicians-with some exemptions- are not the best example. They are unwise, plotting, lying, thieving, greedy, corrupt, and arrogant and “servants” to the international authority. Lately, they have been using an unprecedented rhetoric against terrorism while at the same time; they are exercising state terrorism and injustice that nourishes individual and group terrorism. They promise to fight starvation, narcotics, AIDS and other global sufferings, but the results are disappointing. They have condemned the Third World to starvation. They make blood wars in the name of “democracy” and “human rights” but lately are sliding toward plutocratic oligarchy, fascism, and the empire of “Big Brother.” It is evident that we are living in a nightmarish and schizophrenic world, without feelings and humanism, where words are empty of meaning and they do not become practice. Thus, the ancient Greek proverb “measure the man” in the present times has been substituted by “measure the profit.” Profit is the God of today!!
However, this is more than a war against terrorism. This is a war against the citizens of all countries. The current elite is creating so many fear that people don't know how to respond. But they must remember that this is a move to implement a world dictatorship all over the world
Democratic dialogue has been substituted by dogmatic “one-way” thinking, the ultimatum of war, embargo and the diplomacy of gunboats. They have even destabilized the capitalistic system by controlling trade, industry, the economy, agricultural production, etc. Furthermore, they want to have the right to decide for us without us, to control our mind, our soul, our spirit, our sentiments and even our security, by keeping us under their nuclear terror and intervention. The American administration, having lost the cultural roots of the Americans, has no sense of the depth of foreign cultures. Instead, they want to create a non-cultural, materialistic world. We have to remind the world that the death of a child, any child, in Palestine, Israel, Afghanistan, and Chechnya, in New York or in Iraq, is the death of the whole world.
What should be done for the young?
1. Provide more preventive measures against violence than police measures and anti-violence.
2. Start a democratic dialogue with them about their problems {using libraries, athletics, the qualitative upgrade of cities, better use of their free time, etc.).
3. Encourage their broad participation in central and local government and in the mechanisms of taking decisions.
4. Provide a new way of thinking in schools and on TV, and stop eulogizing violence.
5. Face the great problem of narcotics by striking the producers and big dealers.
6. Give more job opportunities for the employment of youth.
7. Improve their education by giving opportunities for life studies.
Conclusion
While we advise the young to abstain from violence, should they stay inactive in order to be “politically correct” with the system? What should they do? Must they compromise with injustice, corruption, slavery, dogmatism, standardization of the mind, police states, oppression, etc. in order to enjoy abundance and over-consumption? Absolutely not! They have to struggle for progress, changes and democracy by all means, save violence.
Within this dreadful world, the philosophical message of Mahatma Gandhi for Non-violent Resistance is pro non-qvo. This is the best way to build a better society based on freedom, justice, and peace, with sustainable development and ecological balance. In this way, they will enter the era of The New Civilization of Knowledge and Humanity. The same message gave the ancient Greek philosophers “Struggle for Freedom, Justice through the democratic dialogue”

The wisdom and vision of the new generation is at stake. The human society as a whole is paying for it. We have to own the responsibility of bringing up our children, which we are not doing it. If modern youth are obsessed with violence, sex, crime and other devils, it is not their fault, but of the older generation. The new generation has no goals but to earn and spend. They are not trained to monitor desires and senses. They have not experienced of the life and they move with the crowd as a herd of sheep’s. All this has to be changed. We have to create a new chain of human culture, for peace and harmony. If we are looking for harmony and peace we have to go back to the ancient Hellenic world. To take contact with the positive tradition and values of the past (family, city-state, etc) before go to the ecumenical society, that first inaugurated by the Alexander the Great. To study again the methods of education to achieve the highest happiness. Home is the first school for every human being. However the new generation is deprived of homes. Home includes elders and grandparents who have the time to give, their experience and wisdom to their grandchildren. TV has been proved a very bad teacher. It means a join family. That system can teach people how to face the struggles of life and inculcate respect and solidarity for everybody.
Woman is the educator of the society. She can change the culture and civilization within just one generation. We have to make our grand children grow with a heartful of generosity, kindness, and respect for others. The next generation must live in peace and non-violence. The only way to fight to devilish forces is to analyze their routes of attack, how these are trapping the youth. We have to persuade ourselves and then the youngsters to inculcate values of moderation (moderate path) and restraint in life. The most difficult problem is to determine how the new generation reacts to various mediums of communication and what attracts them. We need to involve our hearts, touching every other heart, since the anti-dote to violence is LOVE and not hatred and violence as they do now.
Love cannot be seen neither taught. Women understand it better than men. Whereas man is ambitious, a woman is craving for love. A man lives more through intellect and a woman through her heart. It is the love aspect of the woman, which controls the aggressive and ambitious instincts of man. Modern education has altered this delicate balance. Women are taught to behave like men, compete with men and even replace men in all spheres of life. The struggle for similarity of identities has led to a situation where we are faced with increasing numbers of women who have female bodies, which store male minds. Two males or females cannot stay together for long as husband and wife. Present women are enriched as an ambitious and aggressive person, who is hard and dry. Children witness parents fighting at home. They are left to themselves, thus the whole world is gradually heading for a love-less society, where violence, both physical and mental has become natural. The two sexes need different types of education, aimed at keeping men as men and women as women. There will be no competition, no distance, no abuse, no jealousy, man and woman just complementing each other, with love and mutual respect. So we will promote the culture of peace and non-violence.

This is by far the best explanation of the Muslim terrorist situation I have ever read. His references to past history are accurate and clear. Not long, easy to understand, and well worth the read. The author of this email is said to be Dr. Emanuel Tanay, a well known and well respected psychiatrist.

A man, whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War II, owned a number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism. 'Very few people were true Nazis,' he said, 'but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of the world had come. My family lost everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories.'
We are told again and again by 'experts' and 'talking heads' that Islam is the religion of peace, and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the spectra of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam.
The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honor-kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. It is the fanatics who teach their young to kill and to become suicide bombers.
The hard quantifiable fact is that the peaceful majority, the 'silent majority,' is cowed and extraneous.
Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant.
China's huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people.
The average Japanese individual prior to World War II was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet.
And, who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were 'peace loving'?
History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points: Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence. Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don't speak up, because like my friend from Germany, they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun.
Peace-loving Germans,Japanese,Chinese,Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late.
